 The Reunion Begins Now!

We hope you began your reunion experience by saving our website in your "favorites" and will visit often.  You will be able to catch up with old friends and perhaps get to know some people you really didn't know back in the day as you explore the website.  We hope to make this site social networking at its best for our class to be used for future reunions.

Make Sure Your Information is in our database
  1. Go to our REGISTRATION page and enter your information first. This website is Communication Central so we really need an email address to send updates and important information to you when things change or are added.  Your email will not be shared with anyone else in the class but will give classmates an opportunity to contact you through this site.  Be sure to upload a picture of yourself too!
  2.

  3. Go to the Missing Classmates page-it includes those we have not been able to locate in previous years and a list of those whose last known address had changed and mail was returned to us.  If you find someone on the list and you know how to contact them, go to CONTACT US page and give us that information.  Then try to make a contact with them and give them our website.  Everyone in the class has been elected to serve on the FINDING CLASSMATES COMMITTEE.
  4.

  5. Go to the In Memory Of page if you know of any deceased classmates that have not been listed.  The page begins with those that were in our 30th Reunion booklet and then continues with additional names that have been added since that time.  Thank you for keeping us informed.
  6.

  7. Leave comments in the guest book on the Say Hello! page.  We would like to hear from you, plus it will give old friends an opportunity to contact you and Say Hello.  Let us know what you think about the website and if there is anything you would like to see here.  We plan to keep this active for our class to stay in touch with friends for at least the next 5 years.
  8.

  9. Photo Albums - we would like to expand our offering of photos submitted by classmates.  Look through that file of old pictures and find something to contribute.  And remember to add a comment about those pictures and who is in them (we all don't have perfect memories).
  10.

  11.  Look for pictures taken at the Reunion to appear in the Photo Album page.
  12.

  13. Don't forget to keep coming back to the site on a regular basis. We will continue to add content as more people send information, pictures, etc.   We hope this site will be a regular destination for you.  Add this to your FAVORITES today!

The "new and improved" Spartanburg High School awaits you.  We have all changed in many ways and so has the campus on Dupre Drive.  For those who have not been to Spartanburg in some time we hope you will take the opportunity to see how the District 7 Flagship is better than ever.  Here is a sneak peak.
New soccer and lacrosse fields, tennis complex, football field with track and walking trails

As a part of the long term facilities upgrades at all District 7 schools, the final piece of the plan was completed a year ago with a totally new Athletic Complex.
The Pit is no longer the pits
The Pit is no longer the pits
I'm not sure I remember if "The Pit" across Dupre Drive was used for parking during our days, but it certainly was for many years after we left.  Well that area was beautified with an additional field that has various uses, including a full sized practice field for the Spartan High Band.  No more sore feet from practicing on the hot blacktop of parking lots or going to war with the football team for use of their field.

And this is the crown jewel of the Athletic Complex for outdoor sports. Through the support of Jerry Richardson and the Carolina Panthers, Spartanburg High School was awarded a $200,000 NFL grant which made it possible to redesign the well worn football field with a Mondo artificial turf playing surface which allows the field to be used as often as required, along with a state of the art Mondo track, the first of its kind for a South Carolina high school. On the weekends you can find it being used by Little League teams throughout Spartanburg, kids dreaming of one day becoming a Viking.
